AMP Robotics Awarded The Ecolab Award for Circular Economy Digital Disruptor

The World Economic Forum and the Forum of Young Global Leaders, in collaboration with Accenture, awarded The 2018 Circulars at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made notable contributions to the circular economy. Circular economies look beyond the current take-make-dispose extractive industrial model, and design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems.

AMP Robotics was awarded The Ecolab Award for Circular Economy Digital Disruptor. The Circulars recognized AMP's new sorting and data acquisition technologies for recycling. The Cortex robot automates the separation of waste with practically no retrofit or change to the existing operations of Material Recovery Facilities. Cortex robots are powered by AMP’s artificial intelligence vision system that perceives material in dirty, commingled conditions found in facilities today.

AMP Robotics would like to thank Ecolab, The Circulars, and Accenture for this global recognition. AMP's Founder & CEO, Matanya Horowitz, has accepted this award at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Data and automation are key steps in enabling a circular economy, and AMP Robotics is at the forefront of advancing machine learning and data-driven insights in the recycling industry.
