Denver Post Names AMP Robotics a Top Workplace in Colorado

DENVER—AMP Robotics Corp. (“AMP”), a pioneer in AI, robotics, and infrastructure for the waste and recycling industry, has been named to the Denver Post’s Top Workplaces 2021. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, connection, and more.

“Our people at AMP are our most important and valued asset,” said Emilie Kintner, head of talent and culture for AMP Robotics. “That’s what makes our designation as a top workplace so meaningful—it reflects the voice of our team. AMP is working to enable a world without waste, and it's not everyday that the mission of an organization aligns so perfectly with the personal beliefs and career goals of its employees. It’s an honor to support such a passionate, kind, and smart workforce and see our efforts to develop an environment employees are proud of culminate in this recognition. We strive to prioritize employee engagement and career satisfaction and ensure our unique culture remains strong as we continue to grow.”

Louisville-based AMP has three facilities in Colorado and more than doubled headcount in 2020. After raising $55 million in corporate equity in a Series B financing announced in January, the company has added more than 50 employees so far this year and has nearly three dozen roles open across hardware and software engineering, operations, product management, sales and business development, and more.

“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”

In addition to being named a Top Workplace in Colorado, Fast Company named AMP’s AI platform a finalist for its 2021 World Changing Ideas Awards. Last month, for the second consecutive year, AMP was named to Forbes AI 50, a list recognizing private, promising North American companies using AI in ways that are fundamental to their operations. CB Insights also named AMP to its annual AI 100, a list of private AI companies spanning 12 countries and driving innovation across 18 industries, for the second straight year. In 2020, Fast Company named AMP one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies and recognized Founder and CEO Matanya Horowitz as one of its Most Creative People in Business.

    About AMP Robotics™ Corp.
AMP Robotics is modernizing the world’s recycling infrastructure by applying AI and automation to increase recycling rates and economically recover recyclables reclaimed as raw materials for the global supply chain. The AMP Cortex™ high-speed robotics system automates the identification and sorting of recyclables from mixed material streams. The AMP Neuron™ AI platform continuously trains itself by recognizing different colors, textures, shapes, sizes, patterns, and even brand labels to identify materials and their recyclability. Neuron then guides robots to pick and place the material to be recycled. Designed to run 24/7, all of this happens at superhuman speed with extremely high accuracy. AMP Clarity™ provides data and material characterization on what recyclables are captured and missed, helping recycling businesses and producers maximize recovery. With deployments across North America, Asia, and Europe, AMP’s technology recovers recyclables from municipal collection, precious commodities from electronic scrap, and high-value materials from construction and demolition debris. AMP is made in America with headquarters and manufacturing operations in Colorado.
